Happy Halloween from Meltdown Games! We’ve been hard at work here, and we decided that it was time to pop our heads up and let you in on a few things related to Gothic Doctor. And today seemed like the perfect day to tell you!
The first thing we wanted to say is thanks for signing up for the mailing list. Over the next months, we’ll be reaching out to you periodically to let you know about our progress in moving toward our next Kickstarter, which we’re aiming to put up next summer!
Jeff Drylewicz [jeffdry80.com] is hard at work on the art, and we’re hoping to have all of that done by the new year. That will give us time to get some promotional decks printed with the full, final art and get those out to more reviewers – and with more lead time!
We’ve also been working on trimming the deck a bit as a way of streamlining the game and making sure that the play experience is as fluid and fun as it can be. Fewer patients and fewer total treatments means more deck cycling – which means more movement! Doug will be playtesting Gothic Doctor at an event called Metatopia in north Jersey starting tomorrow, so if you happen to be there, check us out! We’ll have bookmarks and we’d love to play a round with you!
And speaking of checking stuff out, we’ve put up a print-and-play copy of the new deck on MeltdownGames.com – so download a copy and let us know what you think of the new deck! Get it here.
That’s all from us for now – but let us know if you have any questions about the game. We’d love to hear from you!
– Doug & John
